Micron’s Singapore location is the company’s NAND center of excellence and primary manufacturing facility for leading-edge advanced 3D NAND production, technology that is pivotal in accelerating future advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning and autonomous transportation.
In 2018, Micron held a ground-breaking ceremony announcing a significant investment in its Singapore site. This cleanroom expansion was to support advanced 3D NAND technology node transitions while maintaining existing wafer capacity.
Today, Micron announced the completion of this expansion. Over 500 customers, suppliers, distributors, university leaders, community partners, Micron team members and local government officials attended the ceremony to celebrate the opening of the expanded facility. The guest of honor was Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat.
Micron’s 3D NAND technology and storage solutions are pivotal in supporting the company’s long-term growth, and they address customer needs in areas such as 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous transportation.
